After the Fire

California has been aflame this year more than ever before, with hot, dry, windy conditions consuming forests and homes statewide. As of October 1st, more than 7700 wildfires have been recorded, burning well over 2.4 million acres across the state.

The historic ongoing drought gave “fire season” an early start, and fueled the flames everywhere. 2021 has been the largest fire season on record, with firefighters unable to keep pace with the spread.

We profoundly appreciate our first responders. The firefighters who fearlessly risk their lives to save others and preserve our forests and property are courageous and committed, as are the hazmat response teams, police and other emergency crews who step into the flames, literally and figuratively, to help those in crisis.

Here at Impact Absorbents, we contribute to the clean up efforts with a wide array of spill clean up and spill containment product lines, beginning with XSORB Super Absorbents, which includes our flagship XSORB Universal Spill Clean-Up formula and XSORB Caustic Neutralizing Absorbent, as well XSORB EDGE Aggressive Absorbent and XSORB Outdoor All-Purpose, and more.

Then there are the Poly Sorbents, such as Recycled FiberLink Universal Heavyweight Absorbent Pads and FiberDuck Oil Absorbent Rolls, to XSORB Universal Socks that protect walkways and drains, and Absorbent Booms that quickly absorb hydrocarbons such as crude oil, motor oil, diesel oil and gasoline from water.

And, of course, our Spill Kits, which range from Universal to Oil Only to Hazmat

We’re dedicated to supplying everything necessary to handle any spill related situation effectively, with maximum containment.

Our hearts go out to those who have lost so much in this year’s fires. Quick response has saved lives, homes and businesses wherever possible. Nature will gradually regenerate the charred landscape. And we hope that, like the mythical phoenix, the resilient people affected by these wildfires will also begin to rebuild their lives, becoming stronger than before.
