Chemical spill quickly resolved in Alice, Texas

A chemical spill in Alice, Texas, forced firefighters to block off a parking lot at an HEB store in order to determine the nature of the leaked solution.

Hazmat teams were deployed to clean and contain the leak. It was later determined that the spill was diesel oil and had come from a dual pickup truck. The local store was open for the duration of the investigation and cleanup.

Fire crews were able to quickly clean up the mess and began to allow traffic to enter the parking lot a few hours after the spill was detected.

Products like the FiberDuck Oil Absorbent Pads and Rolls would help officials execute a cleanup initiative with ease in a situation like this one. The absorbent device is designed to soak up oil while repelling water in either the work environment or on water.

Oil leaks have the potential to affect the safety of communities and those who inhabit the area. Response teams need every available resource at their disposal to help maintain quality of life. The FiberDuck Oil Absorbent Pads and Rolls are perfect for small or large oil spills, and can help quickly resolve any community concerns before further damage occurs.
