Our product, like our team, is actual and not virtual. And our story is reminiscent of the best Silicon Valley start-ups. Founder Gary Tharp created our flagship product, XSORB Universal, in the family’s garage back in 1992. Demand for this unique eco-friendly, residue-free super absorbent mushroomed, and Impact Absorbents quickly outgrew the garage for a 45,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Atascadero, California.
Today, 28 years on, the company manufactures and distributes more than 500 products to a global market. What’s more, we’re a woman-owned business, stewarding an environmentally responsible product line that has won numerous awards for being effective, ecological, and economical.
Yet despite being a leader in the spill containment and spill clean up field, we’ve retained the family feeling with which we launched our business. We treat everyone like family — not because we like their digital footprint, but because we know who they are.
