East bound and down, loaded up and truckin’

Have you ever seen the show Ice Road Truckers? It’s a pretty neat series that follows a group of big-rig drivers tackling some tough driving condition in the extreme north.  One thing anybody who drives for a living knows is that things break.  These drivers on IRT have to be prepared for anything when they’re hundreds of miles out and it’s -40o.  Occasionally, I see them whip out their spill kits for either a fuel, coolant, oil or any other liquid spill or leak. One thing I’m sure of is these drivers are prepared.  Are you? Regardless if you deliver locally, are a long haul trucker or a fleet vehicle driver, you need to be prepared for any type of spill. The DOT and EPA have regulations that require you to be equipped in the event you have a leak or spill. There are many spill kits available, some even designed especially for truckers and municipality’s fleet vehicles. Truck kits are economical, compact, and have all the components to address a spill before it gets out of hand. Components your kit should include are gloves, goggles, dust mask, and a disposal bag, along with absorbent products. Impact Absorbents Vehicle Spill Kits are designed to absorb up to 8 gallons. But if your needs vary, let us know.  We’d be happy to design a kit for you.
