You may have heard that Impact Absorbents has a beautiful new manufacturing and distribution facility in Benton, Arkansas. So we’re more committed than ever to keeping Arkansas beautiful — after all, spill clean up and spill containment is our jam, and we don’t mean on toast!
And the opening of our new facility coincides perfectly with this year’s GAC, which we’re excited to help promote. GAC stands for Great Arkansas Cleanup, which began September 10th and runs through October 31st.
The Great Arkansas Cleanup takes place each fall from the first Saturday after Labor Day through the end of October. Thousands of Arkansans remove tons of trash from our state’s roadways, shorelines, parks, and public areas during this statewide community improvement campaign.
The GAC is part of a larger initiative known as the Great American Cleanup, which takes place each spring from March through May and is the nation’s largest community improvement effort, happening in an estimated 15,000 communities nationwide. As with the GAC, thousands of Arkansas volunteers happily clean up and beautify their communities before the tourism and vacation seasons begin.
