XSORB Outdoor Oil Stain Removal Test
Purpose: To evaluate the ability of XSORB All-Purpose Indoor-Outdoor Absorbent to remove dried oil stains from porous, untreated asphalt.
Hypothesis: XSORB will be able to partially remove the oil stain.
Test Method: The stain will be saturated with liquid solvent. XSORB will be applied to the stain and scrubbed into the surface with a stiff-bristled brush.
Result: The oil stain was absorbed using 1 oz. XSORB Indoor-Outdoor. A faint shadow was still visible after one application.
Conclusion: XSORB was able to remove all of the surface oil and diminished the stain by 80%.
