Two accidents halt traffic in Houston

A wreck in Houston, Texas, involving a tractor trailer and a car caused traffic to come to a halt on Sunday, February 5, 2012, reports KHOU.com.

The accident between the two vehicles caused more than 220 gallons of fuel to spill from the tractor trailer onto the westbound lanes, reports the source.

Simultaneous to the first crash, a second wreck occurred several yards behind the oil spill, which subsequently caused a fire. Fortunately, the fire was safely put out with extinguishers before it ignited the oil spill.

No injuries were reported, and traffic began flowing again a few hours later.

Cleanup crews assigned to contain oil spills on major roadways may want to arm themselves with the necessary absorbent devices to get the job done. The XSORB Oil-Only Spill Kit contains  top-of-the-line products that quickly absorb oil spills. The XSORB Oil Select Absorbent Bag helps to reduce the spreading of the solution, while FiberDuck Oil-Only Socks and FiberDuck Heavy-weight Sorbent Pads soak up the oil.

Texan cleanup crews would benefit from using XSORB products to contain and absorb oil leaks that prevent the free flow of traffic on major highways. The XSORB Oil-Only Spill Kit has the potential to help cleanup efforts with ease.
