Unknown chemical spill in Texas halted production in mid-December

Several businesses in Spring, Texas, were ordered to remain inside after a chemical leak at a warehouse off the North Freeway on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, reports KHOU.com neighborhood news.

Fire officials were called to the scene around 8 a.m., as reports of a foul odor needed verification.

Upon arriving at the scene, fire officials found a 200-gallon tank leaking an unknown substance inside one of the buildings Two local workers at the warehouse reported feeling ill, and were treated, reports the news source.

Fire officials at the scene were given the task of containing the leak in a timely manner.
