A tanker leaked approximately 200 gallons of soybean oil on I-275 near Hebron, Kentucky, on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, reports WKRC Cincinnati.
The spill occurred around 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) and covered two lanes of I-275 Westbound, reports the source. While cleanup crews were called to action, it took more than 12 hours to contain the entire spill.
The soybean leak stretched about 3,000 feet and created a slippy situation for commuters who were attempting to get home from work.
