In late April, a portion of North Worcester Street in Norton, Massachusetts, was closed for over three hours after water department employees discovered a gas line leak, The Sun Chronicle reports.
The leaking fluid came from an old, abandoned gas line, and while water department workers contained the liquid in a pail, safety concerns were a big priority, the source said.
Overall, less than five gallons of chemical leaked from the line, and the appropriate officials were notified to mend the gas line.
