A fuel tank in Lorain, Ohio, leaked approximately 250 to 300 gallons of oil at a mobile home park, reports The Morning Journal.
The oil came from a heating tank that was on site and had rusted through. The bottom of the tank began to leak the oil, which flowed into the surrounding environment.
The leak was discovered by a local resident who notified the proper authorities. After the fire department arrived at the scene and stabilized the situation, they turned the cleanup process over to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, reports the news source.
Unfortunately, the oil leaked all over the grass in the area and has the potential of leaving lasting effects. Cleanup crews may be able to soak up the damage using FiberDuck Oil-Only Absorbent Pads.
FiberDuck Oil-Only Absorbent pads are top-of-the-line devices that soak up large amounts of oil, nearly doubling in size. The pads may be able to reduce the amount of oil that leaked into the soil. The pads also repel other liquids, which leaves important nutrients in the ground. FiberDuck Oil-Only Absorbent pads can quickly soak up caustic spills in any environment.
