State police are searching for a driver who reportedly caused a wreck on Interstate 95 in Groton, Connecticut, where a tanker truck rolled over and spilled approximately 1,200 gallons of heating oil, reports The Republic.
Witnesses told officials that a driver cut off the tanker truck at about 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, and fled the scene. The tanker struck two other passenger cars, one caught fire immediately. The drivers of the vehicles involved in the crash were all treated for minor injuries, reports the news source.
The accident happened in the Northbound lands of I-95, and cleanup crews remained on the scene until early Thursday.
