October signals Impact Absorbents’ 30th anniversary! You know that timeworn adage, about not trusting anyone over 30? We’re turning that old slogan on its ear. Here’s how:
Many loyal Impact customers have been with us since we launched the company in 1992 with XSORB, our premier spill clean up and spill containment product. XSORB Universal is still the industry standard of our more than 500 spill solutions, now sold worldwide.
If you’re unfamiliar with our backstory, here’s a snapshot. Like the best Silicon Valley success stories, Impact started in a garage. Once the Tharps created our flagship product, XSORB, they started filling orders as fast as they could manufacture it.
Demand for the super absorbent, eco-friendly, residue-free formula quickly outstripped supply, and the family-run enterprise expanded far beyond the garage, into a 45,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Atascadero, California, that we still occupy today.
What a journey it’s been!
And if you’ve been along for the ride since early on, we thank you for trusting us when we were just a baby, taking those wobbly initial steps. You’ve helped us grow strong and healthy so we can give back to customers everywhere by keeping their clients, employees and guests safe from spill mishaps.
We know you’ll go on trusting us to provide the effective, economical, easy to use, and environmentally sound spill clean up products you’ve relied on for 30 years. Now that we’re in our prime, we look forward to continuing to serve you for many years to come.
