Leaves are all around us, and serve so many purposes. Leafy greens are good for you; you’ll want to eat lots of them. Turning over a new leaf is usually good as well: it means starting fresh, perhaps in a new business or in life overall. Trees leaves are beautiful, and provide much-needed shade in summer.

Why are those innocent-looking leaves on the ground so dangerous?
Wet leaves are slippery. Yet most people don’t consider them a hazard as you would, say, an icy patch of sidewalk. So you don’t necessarily take the same precautions. Especially if your attention is riveted elsewhere (put that phone away!).
